Our races began as a way to introduce more folks to the cross country trail system that circumnavigates Yellow Creek Lake and also as a vehicle to raise funds and increase membership for Friends of Yellow Creek. We continue the race for those same reasons. All proceeds go toward FoYC memberships and payouts.

As this year comes to a close, we at FOYC would like to thank the volunteers who devoted many hours to the park, maintaining trails, organizing events, planting trees, running races, offering sailing lessons, etc. We will highlight their work in our January annual report.
Meanwhile, if you volunteered but did not “log” your hours, please help us accurately report this information but sharing your volunteer hours here.
We have two, new hard paddle boards for member use at the FOYC Sailing Base this summer. This complements our soft boards and fleet of 3 open kayaks and 6 sailboats. We’ll soon also add a second Sunfish sailboat to our fleet. Check out the base page for membership information or email FriendsOfYellowCreek@gmail.com for more information.
Friends of Yellow Creek would like to thank Mr. Carl Clevinger whose private donation supported the installation of new roof on the Stake Church.
