After the first five miles and following the yellow painted arrow to make a right down the hillside, you’ll continue to follow the yellow paint and purple “Novice” arrows.
You'll immediately make a right at the bottom of the hillside and proceed down the doubletrack Cove Trail. You'll pass through a popular fishing spot at the end, so please proceed captiously if folks are fishing.
Then you'll swing around this gate and make a right up Campground Road.
You'll ride up Campground Road just over 500 feet, then hang a left back onto Simpson Trail.
You'll ride on section of Simpson Trail again, weaving through the pines, then you'll come to this intersection where you'll stay left and make a left down the access road that you crossed over earlier. Stay on the access road until you come to the large "FINISH" arrow pointing left.
